Be careful. Had a rental here for around 2 years. My biggest complaint is the customer service and the company's "no pro rate policy". I don't usually leave reviews, but I want other people to be aware. If you move out even 1 day after your "move out date", you will be charged a full another month's rental. No questions asked. "Corporate policy". There are no reminders before your move out date, and they call you only after you have past your move out date "to notify you missed your move out date". And then charge you a full month's rental. I think it's an unfair policy designed to take people's money. I've rented at other storage unit companies in the area and they pro-rated happily.
Then, the customer service is pretty bad and rude. I will admit I was frustrated with the company pro rate policy. I expressed that to the owner. At the same time, the owner's were very rude on the phone and to my face. When I finally came in to vacate my unit, the OWNER of the store said, "I've been dealing with this guy for 3 month's and I'm not going to listen to a complaint. He's the one I told you about that thinks I should remind him of his move out date". She said this to her husband as I was standing in front of her.
On top of that, they had replaced a lock for me several weeks prior to my vacating. When I went to unlock it, the lock was placed on backwards. I couldn't even get the key in the lock. Had to call the owner as I was told he was the one who put the lock on.
He came back and jerked the lock open bare handed. I said, "I guess anybody could have done that over the last few weeks to get in my unit and steal my stuff". He didn't even apologize and simply said "Nobody is going to pull a lock". My stuff was left un locked for several weeks and no responsibility was taken.
I understand no one likes to receive complaints, but I was surprised by the attitude, treatment and lack of responsibility from the OWNERS of the establishment. I also feel like their pro rate policy is designed to make them money and hurt the customer. I tried calling the corporate customer service to explain my complaint. She said, "This has been the policy of Jack Rabbit since I've worked here for 4 years. They aren't going to change it simply because you don't like it". Okay.
I guess Jack Rabbit would rather make easy money than keep me as a future customer. Seems like they will lose more money that way in the long run.
I have had much better experiences at other storage places in the area and will use those establishments in the future.
